11/16

This week, my green beans were ready to be harvested.
My tomatoes are continuing to grow and hopefully will be ready to harvest soon.
My eggplants are also getting larger and may be ready soon.
My sunflower is almost ready to bloom.
After class, I cooked my fresh green beans for dinner with some tomatoes. They were tasty and fresh!!

11/9

This week we began in class and learned about many different things including white strawberries which I found very interesting.i was happy to see my eggplants grow a little more. The flower below will eventually turn into an eggplant.

11/2


This week we began class by wedding our gardens. After, we got more plants to fill the rest of our plot. I added lettuce and basil. I'm excited for these plants to grow. 
My beans are still growing pretty well. I added fertelizer because some of them were starting to die. 
Some beans beginning to grow.
Tomatoes are coming in.
Baby eggplant starting to grow.
Kale is almost ready to harvest.

10/26

This week our activities included pulling weeds and watering. 
My last remaining collard plant is doing well. It looks healthy and is growing every week. 
I was excited to see an eggplant beginning to grow from the flower. This is my first eggplant and I can't wait to see the rest grow.
My pepper has also gotten bigger and seems like it is almost ready to be harvested. 
My only remaining tomato plant is still alive and healthy! There is even a little tomato starting to grow.
The beans are also alive and healthy. There are many flowers on the plants and there are even some very small beans forming.
Lastly, my broccoli, cauliflower, and radishes are all still alive. I'm hoping to see them grow a lot in the next few weeks.

10/19

We began class this week by checking 
on our plants and weeding our gardens. I was happy to find 2 small pepper, flowers on my tomatoes and eggplants, and taller bean sprouts. After weeding, we planted 3 broccoli, 3 cauliflower, and 2 radishes. We then added manure to the soul and watered our whole garden.

10/12


Today we began class by removing all of the weeds from our gardens. My bed had quite a few weeds but I was careful to remove all of them to allow more water and nutrients to get to my plants. After the weeds were removed, I planted 2 sunflowers in my garden and watered all of the plants. After watering, we sprayed all of the leaves in our garden with BT. 
My bean plants were growing nicely and seem to be healthy.

9/21/15

In this weeks class, we began by checking our plants to see if any pests had visited or any of the plants died. 

This collard plant had a few dead leaves and my tomato plants were not looking too good.
I was happy to see all 3 varieties of beans begin to sprout and hope to see them grow even more next week.

Our work in the field by first making a BT spray to protect our plants from bugs such as caterpillars. We mixed bt and copper then added water to create the solution. Next, we fertilized our plants using a 10-10-10 fertilizer. When that was finished, we went into the greenhouse to plant sunflower seeds. I then received a wonderbell pepper and a cilantro plant to add to our garden.
